Lineage

1. Yogic Training & Foundations. My foundation in yoga began in 2010 when I immersed in a year long Yoga Shastri certification under the guidance of Dr. Hansraj Yadav at Bhavans Yoga Bharati. In 2021, I moved to Goa to deepen my practice under Dr. Omprakash Gaur, focusing on Hatha and Iyengar methodologies. My approach today prioritizes alignment, precision, and the use of props to awaken intelligent action through the body. My classes balance mobility and strength with nervous system regulation, inviting students to build a sustainable, lifelong practice.

2. Sri Vidya & Tantra. In 2019, I began formal training in Sri Vidya, an esoteric tantric tradition rooted in Kashmiri Shaivism. My study follows the lineage decoded by Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati (Devipuram) and was transmitted to me through his disciple, my teacher, Sri Karunamaya. Having completed multiple levels of this yantra and mantra-based practice, it serves as a key pillar of my understanding of the energetic body.

3. Buddhist Practice My commitment to the contemplative path was first sparked at age 14 at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim. Today, I study within the Tergar lineage of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. In 2024, I formally took refuge. My current practice includes the extraordinary preliminaries (Ngondro) of the Nyingma tradition, alongside ongoing training in the lineage of Tibetan Yantra Yoga (Chögyal Namkhai Norbu).

4. Creative Path & Background Before teaching yoga full-time, my journey was shaped by a diverse range of disciplines. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Media from the UK and previously worked in the film industry, most notably directing the feature film Kosha. I also was immersed in theatre from a young age, and explore Indian culture through art, dance, writing, and performance. This creative background, alongside early explorations in Qigong, Reiki, and Vipassana meditation (Goenka tradition), informs my focus on clear, grounded communication and the intersection of art and awareness.

5. Teachers & Influences My work is shaped by Indian yogic traditions and contemplative lineages, with guidance from senior mentors such as Dr. Hansraj Yadav, Sri Karunamaya, Dr. Om Gaur, and Mingyur Rinpoche. I am committed to continuing education and to teaching in a way that is clear, inclusive, and grounded in the ethics of the traditions I represent.
